(The format will be a presentation by staff, followed by a presentation from the applicant [15 minutes], testimony from other interested persons

[5 minutes], a rebuttal opportunity for the applicant [5 minutes], and then Commission deliberations.)

 

a. HIS08-19, 512 State Street: Type II discretionary review by the Historic Landmarks Commission of a proposal to install two five-square-feet under-marquee signs (La Capitale French Brasserie), one sign to be located on the High Street frontage and one sign to be located on the State Street frontage, where the main entrance will be on State Street, for a contributing historic resource within the Salem Downtown Historic District, on property zoned CB (Central Business District), and located at 512 State Street SE (aka 508-524 State Street in the National Register document).

 

b.   HIS08-20, 280 Liberty Street NE:  Type III discretionary review by the Historic Landmarks Commission of a proposal to demolish a contributing resource in the Downtown National Register Historic District on property 0.85 acres in size, zoned CB (Central Business District), and located at 280 Liberty Street

 

c.  HIS08-21, 234-280 Liberty Street NE: Type II administrative design review by the Historic Landmarks Commission for a proposed new building to be constructed on property totaling approximately 0.85 acres, zoned CB (Central Business District) with Salem Downtown Historic District and Historic Core Area overlays, and located at 234, 248, 260 and 280 Liberty Street NE (Marion County Assessor's Map and Tax Lot Numbers: 073W22DC/6800, 6900, 7000, & 7100).
