Saturday Youth Sport ProgramThe Saturday Youth Sport Program, established in 1976, provides instruction and league play for boys and girls, grades K-8. Parent-Tot classes are offered for non-school age children and their parents. The purpose of the Saturday Youth Sports Program is to provide recreation opportunities for school-aged children and to involve the Salem community in a volunteer program of leadership in youth sport activities. Volunteer opportunities exist for individuals to assist in the following Community Resources program areas:
Volunteer candidates will be required to complete a Volunteer Application/Agreement. A criminal background check is required prior to volunteer service. Individuals desiring to volunteer may call or visit the City of Salem Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department.
